In a nutshell
Your ePortfolio is an important tool for recording and supporting your learning journey. You can use it to document and reflect on your development and you can use it to display evidence of your skills and accomplishments.
Why an ePortfolio:
- You get to keep it after you finish at Wintec, unlike Moodle which you will lose access to after completion.
- It's a good place to store important stuff.
- You can share your ePortfolio externally, as a digital C.V. for example.
- Your ePortfolio provides a means of seeing your learning in its entirety rather than as just individual assignment pieces.
- It can be used for career development and job application purposes as it can evidence your progress, achievements and artefacts.
and much more......
What should I do first?
1. Check your profile information and picture. This has come directly from Moodle so to change it you'll need to edit your Moodle profile.
3. Develop your profile page to control what others on Mahara see about you.
4. Create folders in the files area to stay organised and upload some files like awards, certificates, feedback or recommendations.
5. Write a journal entry. Why don't you start by writing your goals for the next month, module, year...
6. Make your first page and experiment with all the different things you can put onto it.
7. Check out the userguides and support material. Next to this --> and in the Links and Resources block on the Dashboard page.
