At the end of this project you will be able to:

Plan:

Develop a simple project plan for fabricating two metal tray inserts to suit the dimensions of the Wooden Toolbox Project.

Do:

  • Create pattern development drawings that accurately represent the metal tray inserts.
  • Safely: measure, mark out, cut fold the pattern developments for the tray inserts.
  • Finish assembly of the trays using:
    • spot welder
    • riveting tools 
    • the Pittsburgh locking system.

Review:

  • Verify trays against drawing dimensions.
  • Fit finished trays to toolbox and verify fit and finish.
